It was so much fun last time, we are doing it again! Start planning now for April 22 and make the force stronger. Here are a few ideas to get you Jedi or Storm Trooper ready!

  1. 1. You can make a monumental difference by joining our EWOC committee. We start planning in January and meet regularly to make this a spectacular and worthwhile event. Just check out our facebook photos. Sign up to Volunteer
  2. 2. Brainstorm for Corporate Sponsor Form. Invite all the business you can think of by delivering a corporate sponsor form and be sure to share your story.
  3. 3. Get an early start gathering auction items. Everytime you visit a store, ask for donation items - you will be pleasantly surprised how charitable businesses can be. Auction Form
  4. 4. Be a Wishlist Friend to ESNOC and sponsor a carnival booth or underwrite an event cost.
  5. 5. Register and start a team! Think of a fun name, invite all your friends and family and start raising money for Seizure Wars!
  6. Team Captains can enter the Opportunity Drawing and with the help of his or her 4 registered walkers, fundraise to meet the goals!

Your donation allows us to help individuals battling epilepsy today and those who will be diagnosed tomorrow. The urgent goal is to help those affected by epilepsy to get and maintain seizure control. Epilepsy Support Network of Orange County (ESNOC) offers a continuum of support for every age: parents and children, teens, and adults.

Upcoming Committee Meetings:

These fun and collaborative meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings, 7-8:30pm at the ESNOC office. Meeting dates are:

March 7, 14 and 28; April 4, 11, 18

We are Seeking Volunteers for these positions:

Corporate Sponsor Volunteer - This is a multi-person task force, coordinating with the Executive Director, Janna. Make note this is what brings the most bang for our fundraising efforts! Skills required: Self motivated and passionate about the cause.

Silent Auction Volunteer - This is a multi-person, coordinated effort working with our Silent Auction Chair, Mari. The silent-auction is a highlight of the day and quality items increases the bidding. More items on the table increases the likelihood there will be something for everyone. Skills required: Fearless in their pursuit, passionate about the cause, creative with ribbons, and energetic.

Team Cheerleader - This is a job for a dynamic duo. The teams bring the greatest numbers in participants, sponsored donations, and awareness. More teams means even more but we need them to start early and keep it going strong! Skills required: a people friendly motivator with tenacity and tact.

Appreciation Post Volunteer - The more the easier it will be to print and send Thank You letters to all the wonderful and generous people. Skills required: organized, self motivated, with attention to detail.

Decorations Volunteer - More than one will add the fun. The celebratory and symbolic 1/4 mile walk route is to be adored by everyone on the path! Combined skills required: an idea generator, creative, resourceful, and budget conscious.

VIP Greeter - We have very important people deserving special attention on the day of the walk. The top priority for this position will be coordinating and delighting the VIP's, so they will return. Skills required: Warm and welcoming, good with names and faces, and attentive.

Drop in Volunteers - If you want to volunteer on a spontaneous basis, you are welcome to drop by the meetings and see where help is needed. If you have time to volunteer while at home, call or email us and we can get you in contact with a committee chair that needs assistance.

Break Down Volunteers - Day of event positions to help pack and clean up, 2-3pm. Skills required: ability to move small boxes and/or large items to van.
